Since 2005 QSA has delivered Made of Money, an award-winning project helping families gain control of their finances.
However this is not a standard financial education programme - we approach this issue in a different and unique way.
We make the subject of money management fun; we facilitate rather than teach; we talk about the pressures of consumerism and support families to understand how it impacts our decision making; and we emphasise the importance of communication and shared values within the family.
Evidence of Made of Money's impact is compelling. On a practical level, 93% of respondents reported feeling more in control of their finances, with 93% also saying they were now better off - many up to £20 per week. In terms of wellbeing, 94% of people reported feeling less stressed and that their conversations about money have improved.
We share our learning where it can positively impact the wider community. In 2009 we started our training programme, supporting over 1000 practitioners and professionals to utlise Made of Money with their clients. It is not a "one size fits all" approach. We demonstrate what we do, and allow you to use it, adapt it, and incorporate it into your own work. External evaluation has shown Made of Money to be a highly successful and adaptable programme.
