Trustees (Voluntary) Are you committed to issues of social justice and looking for an opportunity to be a trustee of an organisation that seeks to put those values into practice? We are an anti-poverty charity, celebrating our 150th anniversary this year. Based in east London, we have a longstanding reputation for innovative and practical anti-poverty projects. This work has spread beyond east London and has also extended to the delivery of training to other professionals across the UK and to campaigning. Our work addresses themes of financial capability, wellbeing & resilience, furniture re-use, housing, the criminal justice sector and funerals. We are ambitious for the future, keen to extend both our reach and our voice. We are looking for three trustees and are keen to reach out to people with skills and experience in digital and/or legal fields. Our trustees are responsible for oversight of our work, setting our strategy and stewarding our assets. We are seeking people with an understanding of poverty in a UK context, who have an appetite for supporting the work of a changing organisation, and who are reflective, energetic and action-oriented. Please download the job pack for more information about the role and how to apply. The closing date for applications is Friday 21 April and interviews will be held on Wednesday 3 May.
